European Poker Open I

Back in 2005 PartyPoker.com brought the poker community the first installment of the European Poker Open.  Featuring a combination of winners from our online tournament qualifiers and some of the best poker pros in the business, the European Poker Open provided all the thrills and spills of Texas hold'em poker in a quick-fire six table format.

You can follow the competition through seven heats of tournament poker that included the likes of the suave Marcel Luske, the fiery Tony G and the showman of UK poker Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott.  Fourty players in total sat down at the poker table to scrap it out for a piece of the mammoth $360,000 in tournament prize money.  The one player who came out on top of this tough field stood to take home $150,000 and the honour of becoming the first champion of the European Poker Open.
